“I lost (ok, dropped) my favourite beanie in the street outside my house. A car ran it over; a fox chewed the edge.  I found it the next morning.  I still wore it, frayed and unravelling, immortalised in the first photos with my baby.  That’s no reason to not repair it, though.  All the more, actually.  I want to keep this beanie in action until she can wear it herself.”
