ABOUT US.
CLOTH.WORK is about loving what we already have and investing in pieces that are made for life.
A generation ago, ‘less is more’ wasn’t a thing. It was simply ‘the clothes in our wardrobe’.
When they broke, we mended them. And we loved them for it.
But then clothes got cheaper and fashion got faster and a lot of us forgot what it means to be in a long term relationship with our wardrobes.
And we lost the deep pleasure of a damn good mend on quality clothes.
It’s about taking pleasure in what we have and caring for them the way we used to. We do it in three ways:
Mend:
We use heritage mending techniques for across different textiles.
We repair your clothing, we repair our clothing; we want all clothing to remain loved and to live on.
Customise:
Ready-to-wear clothes are, by definition, produced en masse. Make what you have more yours by adding your details; we call it 'clothwork'. You choose the details, and we’ll make it for you.
C.W Originals:
We provide an alternative to standard fashion. Our clothes are designed and made to be perennial. Every seam is finished, each detail
considered. Only heritage mills, only noble fibres. No trends, no hype.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER.
For nearly 20 years, CLOTH.WORK founder Sasha Sarokin was part of the fashion machine. Her long career in the industry was about convincing women to buy as much as possible. After she had her first kid, she realised she wasn’t acting in the best interest of the next generation.
After getting her master’s in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University, she put her published research of slow fashion business models into practice: CLOTH.WORK.
